Lately, How To Concerts has assisted with some awesome virtual events. We are so proud of the college campus leaders we work with, trying to engage their students and keep their sense of community. Let’s keep it going!

Over the past 10 days, we’ve helped various campuses host several virtual cooking classes with Chef Jyll Everman! Once a finalist on Food Network Star, Jyll gets to satisfy her love for teaching on camera with these cook-along format virtual cooking classes. The class takes place on your platform of choice – Zoom, Facebook or Instagram Live, and we make the event simple and easy to execute. This is a great, affordable, low-maintenance event.

We also helped a university host a Bryce VineInstagram takeover in which he went live on their Instagram, took questions from the students, played about 6 songs acoustically, and then announced some of the campuses’ contest winners. It was fabulous and uplifting in every way.

Several college campuses are used to hosting bingo nights on campus. These have always been well-attended and fun, and the same applies to the online version. BUT to make it more fun, inclusive, and to reach out to students that went home to potentially less supportive environments, we’ve added some of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s fabulous queens as the bingo callers! We can give you full recaps of how this works if you are interested. We also had a famous drag queen provide a facebook live makeup tutorial with live Q&A, and another collaborated with a queen to host a day-long Instagram takeover!

Springfest is another campus tradition for a lot of colleges, which often includes a large concert. One school we work with decided “the show must go on” and we assisted with their virtual concert, where Rema performed for their campus, all the way from Nigeria at his studio! Ceraadi also opened for Rema. Both artists did awesome, but the best part of the experience for the committee was the meet and greets with the artists. Intimate, lengthy, personal Zoom meetings with the artists were unforgettable for these students that had worked so hard on an event all semester.

Coming up in the next week we have a Q&A with Scott Rogowky, more cooking classes and two drag bingo events, and a virtual concert with nostalgic favorite, 3OH!3!

And, we are NOT. DONE. YET. In the coming weeks, we are helping more college campuses host virtual concerts, Q&As with a-list celebrities, drag bingo nights, additional cooking classes and more. We can’t wait to talk you through how to make these events successful. Contact us! We’d love to create unforgettable experiences with your teams to keep students engaged and optimistic. Let’s do this!
