As you may have heard, the How To Concerts team grew this summer! With Jake now working remotely from Seattle, Jolene and Luke opened a new office in Green Bay and welcomed our newest employee to Wisconsin from California. As the Entertainment Logistics Coordinator, Amber Olson will be helping with contracts, calendars, and timelines to make sure your show is a success. Let’s learn more about Amber!

Amber, why don’t you tell us a little about yourself to kick things off.

I am originally from Folsom, CA which is in the Sacramento area. Fun fact – it is also home to the prison mentioned in Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash! I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in March of this year, and got a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in psychology. While in college, I worked for Cal Poly’s college programming board (ASI Events) for 3 years and planned musical events and lots of virtual events for students during the pandemic. Working for ASI Events was the best part of my college experience and confirmed my desire to work in the entertainment industry, so I am so excited to be joining the team at How To Concerts!

What are some of your hobbies?

I love to read and am trying to read 100 books this year! I also love to travel and see new places any time I can. I love going to concerts and am so excited that events are starting to come back. I can’t wait to see some of my favorite artists again!

What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 1000 years?

Did One Direction ever get back together?

What are you most excited about in regards to moving to Wisconsin?

I am excited to experience living in a new state! I have heard about how beautiful Wisconsin is, so I am excited to explore the scenery in Green Bay and the surrounding areas. I am also excited and nervous about experiencing a real winter for the first time!

Last question… What music are you listening to right now?

Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album, SOUR, has been on repeat since it came out! I have been loving Lorde’s new single Solar Power and Donna Missal’s album Lighter! I also have been listening to a lot of Maude Latour, The Band CAMINO, The Maine, and Ingrid Andress.
