1. Have Any Fun Holiday Plans This Year?

Yes! This year I am heading back to Oregon to see my family and then to Colorado for some New Year’s Eve festivities. Looking forward to soaking up some time with my favorite people.

2. Favorite Random Holiday traditions?

Speaking of those NYE festivities… The newest tradition is NYE concert runs with my friends and family. Several years in a row we went to The String Cheese Incident in Colorado. Last year we mixed it up for Greensky Bluegrass in Chicago. Back to Colorado this year for The Infamous Stringdusters and The String Cheese Incident!

3. What is your favorite holiday food?

Favorite is hard so I will give a top 3 – Mashed Potatoes, Latkes, or Chinese food. Not necessarily in that order.

4. You live in Wisconsin, do you enjoy snow?

Yes! I grew up in Portland where it rarely snowed, so anytime it did was a real treat. Did the apocalypse happen or did it snow? School canceled 100% of the time (even if it “might” snow), businesses closed everywhere, neighborhood snow-day antics, etc. Snow always reminds me of that.

5. Shopping preference: online or in-store?

Online for sure, the convenience really sets it apart. I am making an effort to shop local, though.

6. Favorite holiday music?

I’m not going to lie… I’m not a big holiday music guy. If I have to pick it would be “Season’s Greetings From Moe.” Did I search “Jam band holiday music” to find that? … Yes.

7. Do you decorate during the holidays?

If I was going to be home this holiday season, I’d probably decorate my succulents (and myself with holiday sweaters every day to see Jolene’s reaction at work). This year I am looking forward to seeing the holiday decorations I grew up with.

8. Do you Have Any New Year’s resolutions?

Yes, to start running daily again. This year was a big transition year for me, moving really throws off your routine. It’s time to get back on track. I also am a terrible long-distance communicator with family and friends, so another resolution of mine is to work on that.

9. Favorite Winter Sport?

Freestyle Ballet Skiing – I think it would fare better in the Olympics now than it did in the 80’s and 90’s. Let’s start the “bring it back” petition? Unfortunately, I don’t think I am nimble enough to participate.

10. What Are You Looking Forward to Most in 2019?

This is going to be a little cheesy… but honestly, my first full year here at How To Concerts. I am feeling really energized in this role and excited to see where the year takes me.
